There are two calendars mainly used by the citizens of Aerynth, that made by the Elves and that made by the Humans. In the Elven Calendar, each month is named for a constellation and follow the Pattern of Life: Birth (Rebirth), Life, and Death.
The Human Calendar is devised in a similar fashion. During the Years of Sorrow when the Humans were enslaved by the Deathless Empire, Humanity absorbed many aspects of Elf culture, consciously or subconsciously. The Elvish divisions of months and festivals made inherent sense to them, so they adopted the Titans to fit the Elvish model. The Humans also followed the Pattern of Life but named them seasons instead: Spring, where new life is born; Summer, where life grows and matures; and finally Winter, where the climate changes and everything fades.
Both Calendars, though follow the three Primal Forces: Law, Chaos, and Negation.
