Community Signal podcast: Managing Communities of IT Pros and MMORPG Players

By SeanDahlberg | April 15, 2020

Recently, I had the pleasure of being on the Community Signal podcast, hosted by Patrick O’Keefe of ManagingCommunities.com fame. I believe we did the recording around the middle of March so it was just as things were starting to get “interesting” here in Texas in regards to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. If you’re already following… Read More: Community Signal podcast: Managing Communities of IT Pros and MMORPG… »

About a year ago, I got a KILLABEE gaming chair off of Craig’s List. I was planning on buying a new one but got this one at a great deal so went with a “gently used” gaming chair. Just like many (MANY) people, I’m working more from home now. My gaming area is now also… Read More: Rollerblade wheels for gaming chair? »

No, I am not hacking my site. The title is a nod to “Hello, World” (or in HK-47’s case, “Hello, meatbag”). As you can tell, it has been a while since I’ve cleaned up or update my site. Little by little, I’ll be doing both. Again. This time, I am hoping to stick with it,… Read More: printf(“hello, world\n”); »

As some may have seen a couple weeks back, I was whining about having some problems with my home PC. The short version is that, all of a sudden, my monitor wasn’t working and after diagnosing it in a few ways, it ended up that a power surge screwed up my motherboard. And, later I… Read More: Building myself a new PC »

This year, I was quick to do my taxes. QUICK. As in the moment I received my W2 , which was the last piece I needed to do them, I did it that night. I wanted to do it as quickly as possible because I’ve been aching to build a brand new PC (#PCMasterRace #PC4Life,… Read More: I fear I was too successful in teaching my daughter… »

Last week it was announced that I no longer work for Stray Bullet Games. At that point, I wasn’t sure if I could announce where I’d be working next and figured it would be better to err on the side of caution. Well, today was my first day and it was confirmed that I could… Read More: And the next chapter begins »

Ashen On Vacation

Due to the fact that my last official work day was May 15th and the next one isn’t until June 1st, I decided to take advantage of the “free” time and I am out-of-state for a bit. I’ll be back soon but I doubt I’ll be checking the forums or my email or things much… Read More: Ashen On Vacation »

What a few weeks it has been! Since my initial trip on a job interview in late April, everything has become a blur; so much that I have a ton of catching up to do on my very own forums! A few days after getting back to Austin from there, it seems like I was… Read More: Beware the Stray Bullet! »

Up, up, and away… to E3!

Hey all, I’ll probably be quiet on here for a few days. Doing a few last minute things before my flight takes me back to California where I’ll be (for E3). I’ll check in every so often but mostly out of touch (I imagine). Behave (somewhat, at least!) and don’t burn the place down!
